the first three weeks... not normal.

I made a promise to myself when I was sixteen years old: "Don't Be Normal."

For the most part, I've lived an extraordinary existence and am thankful for it. I've traveled the world, I have wonderful, smart kids and amazing friends. But going out on my own for business is a quest I feared I would never do. Because of fear.

There are so many things to say about the first three weeks of having my own company.

When I decided to take the step out of "normal" full time work, I felt like I'd jumped off Bear Bridge on Donnor Summit. And started flying. And that is better than being tranq'd like this Bear who got stuck there a few years ago.

There has been so much support from my previous workmates, my friends and acquaitances that I was overwhelmed with goodness, and quite frankly, luck. I absolutely could not have done this without them.

I now have six clients, 3 substantial, and a few that will be only a few hours a month.

My other job, as President of the local Truckee Community Theater board, is also completely fulfilling. It is amazing how much talent is here in Tahoe. I am so very lucky to be able to tap into it, contribute to the pool and be involved above and beyond. I hope you will join us for an extravagant evening on August 28, for Broadway at the Park. More info on that on our site.

Join me for some fun and let's do a project!

Contact me, and we'll play.
